A resolution recognizing Michelle Wilson-Smith for her employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Michelle Wilson-Smith retired from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more
than 22 years, retiring as a Bus Driver with the Transit Division; and
WHEREAS, during Michelle Wilson-Smith’s employment with the City of Janesville, she
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of her position, which she performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Michelle Wilson-Smith began her employment with the City of Janesville as
a Part-Time Bus Driver with the Transit Division, in October, 2003; and
WHEREAS, in the course of her employment, Michelle Wilson-Smith held several
positions, including Part-time Bus Driver, before going to Operations where she held the
positions of Laborer II, Sanitary Equipment Operator, Maintenance Worker I, Operator,
Operator I, before returning to the Transit Division as a Full-Time Bus Driver; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Michelle Wilson-Smith
for her more than twenty-two years of loyal public service.
