A proposed ordinance changing the zoning classification in the vicinity of Beloit Avenue and Burbank Avenue was presented. Councilman Karleski made a motion to adjourn the hearing to the next regular council meeting. Motion seconded by, Councilman Lovejoy and adopted unanimously. (File Ordinance No. 70-170) 3. A proposed ordinance providing for certain electrical work to be done directly by the City was introduced by Councilman Roth and given its first and second reading. A public hearing was set for June 29, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. (File Ordinance No. 70-174). Resolutions 1. A resolution commending Miss Ida G. Hubbard for her record of unselfish service to her city and her fellowman as Public Health Nurse, Public Health Nursing Supervisor and friend to all, was presented. Councilman Roth made a motion to adopt said resolution. Motion seconded by Councilman Cullen and adopted unanimously. (File Resolution No. 70-135) 2. A resolution that standard concrete sidewalks be constructed in front of all parcels of land where standard concrete sidewalks have not been constructed on various streets was presented. A public hearing was held and after the appearance of interested parties and the submission of various petitions, Councilman Roth made'a motion to adopt said resolution except for the last nine items. Motion seconded by Councilman Lovejoy and adopted unanimously. (File Resolution No. 70-129) 3. The final resolution authorizing Sanitary Sewer, Water Main, Curb and Gutter and Bituminous Paving, Concrete Paving, Installation of Sewer, Water and Gas Service Pipes and Levying Special Assessments against Benefited Property was presented. A public hearing was held. After the appearance of interested parties, submission of petitions and letters relative to the various improvements, the following streets were deleted: Sanitary Sewer Mains, Water Mains, Gas Mains & Sewer, Water_ & Gas Service Laterals TM T Mt. Zion Avenue from Morningside Drive to 450' W. of Wright Road Curb and Gutter, Bituminous Paving, and Sewer Water and Gas Service Laterals S. Orchard Street from W. Court Street to R. R. Tracks South. Councilman Karleski stated that we have been requesting citizens interested in coming up with a proposed Offensive Industry Ordinance that would be befitting our City to send letters to him. He had received letters from Mr. Kuranz, Mr. Kleimenhagen and Mr. Wood with a recommended list from the Chamber of Commerce. He stated he would like to turn the draft of the ordinance over to these people as a committee and have them come back with a revision in a six weeks period.
