A Resolution establishing a Relocation Order for the East Memorial Drive STP-Urban
Reconstruction project
WHEREAS, to properly establish, layout, widen, enlarge, extend, construct, reconstruct, improve,
replace, or maintain a portion of the street herein described, it is necessary to acquire certain
lands or interests in lands, as shown on the attached Plat dated May 5, 2025, City of Janesville,
Rock County; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Janesville recognizes the need to acquire a
Permanent Limited Easement (PLE) on the affected properties for public sidewalk, ramps, and
storm sewer infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville shall acquire certain lands and interests herein as shown on
the attached Plat dated May 5, 2025, as provided by Chapter 32, Wisconsin State Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the termini of the Relocation Order is more particularly described as follows:
Begin Relocation Order: 31.3 FEET NORTH OF AND 1238.9 FEET WEST OF THE
CENTER ¼ CORNER OF SECTION 25, T3N, R12E, CITY OF JANESVILLE, WI.
End Relocation Order: 28.9 FEET NORTH OF AND 1142.4 FEET WEST OF THE
CENTER ¼ CONER OF SECTION 25, T3N, R12E, CITY OF JANESVILLE, WI.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville,
pursuant to authority granted under Section 62.22, and other applicable Wisconsin Statutes,
hereby authorizes this Relocation Order and directs the City Manager or designee to file a copy
of this Resolution with the County Clerk of Rock County, Wisconsin on behalf of the City.
1.The said local street is laid out and established to the lines and widths as shown on the
Plat;
2.The required lands or interests in lands as shown on the Plat shall be acquired by the City
of Janesville; and
3.This order supersedes and amends any previous order issued by the City of Janesville,
Wisconsin.
