2025-916ORDINANCE NO. 2025-916 An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located at 728 Railroad Street, 729 Harding Street and 735 Harding Street from M3, Central Light Industrial District to B2, Community Shopping District with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 42-332 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville. THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property (addressed as 728 Railroad Street) is hereby changed from M3, Central Light Industrial District to B2, Community Shopping District. PART OF THE SW 1/4 OF SECTION 25, T.3N., R.12E. OF THE 4TH P.M., CITY OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN. DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Lots 5, 6 and 7 of Block 3 of Pixley & Shaw’s 2nd Addition as recorded in the Rock County Register of Deeds Office, Rock County, Wisconsin. Also includes one-half of the public right-of -way of Railroad Street adjoining above-described property. SECTION II. The zoning classification of the following described property (729 Harding Street) is hereby changed from M3, Central Light Industrial District to B2, Community Shopping District. PART OF THE SW 1/4 OF SECTION 25, T.3N., R.12E. OF THE 4TH P.M., CITY OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN. DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Lot 1 of CSM Document No. 1428082 as recorded on Pages 348 thru 350, Volume 22 of Certified Survey Maps as recorded in the Rock County Register of Deeds Office, Rock County, Wisconsin. Also includes one-half of the public right-of-way of Harding Street adjoining above-described property. SECTION III. The zoning classification of the following described property (735 Harding Street) is hereby changed from M3, Central Light Industrial District to B2, Community Shopping District. PART OF THE SW 1/4 OF SECTION 25, T.3N., R.12E. OF THE 4TH P.M., CITY OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN. DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Lot 12 of Block 3 of Pixley & Shaw’s 2nd Addition as recorded in the Rock County Register of Deeds Office, Rock County, Wisconsin. Also includes one-half of the public right-of-way of Harding Street adjoining above-described property. SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
