2024-2240RESOLUTION NO. 2024-2240
A resolution recognizing Ronald K. Bomkamp for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Ronald K. Bomkamp retired from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more
than 23 years; retiring as the Battalion Chief with the Janesville Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, during Ronald K. Bomkamp’s employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Ronald K. Bomkamp began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Firefighter/EMT, in April, 2001; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, Ronald K. Bomkamp had a variety of
assignments, including Firefighter/EMT, Driver, Lieutenant, and Battalion Chief; in
addition, he was a member of the Technical Rescue and Dive Team, and served on the
Equipment Committee; and
WHEREAS, Ronald K. Bomkamp was awarded the VFW Firefighter of the Year Award
in 2012; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Ronald K. Bomkamp
for his more than twenty-three years of loyal public service.
