PUBLIC WORKS BID SCHEDULE “B” – 2024
The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive electronic bids for the
following listed Public Work:
C2024-6 Street Rehabilitation – For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and
doing all the work necessary for the construction and completion of approximately
31,860 TONS asphalt paving on existing streets, including 175,000 SY milling; 6,410
SY Pulverizing, 29,100 SY pavement removal; 24,680 CY unclassified excavation;
54,700 TONS aggregate base; 52,000 LF epoxy pavement markings; 4,700 SY grass
terrace restoration and miscellaneous construction items. Quest Project Number

C2024-9 Landfill Cell 7 Construction – For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment,
and doing all the work necessary for the construction of a landfill liner to include:
subbase excavation and filling; gradient control layer with piping, trench, and
geotextile; 4-foot thick compacted clay liner; 60-mil geomembrane liner with
geotextile cushion; leachate drainage layer and sump; leachate collection piping,
pump, manhole, fittings, meters, and controls; access road improvements; storm
water drainage; fencing; site restoration; and incidentals on the plans and specified
herein for Landfill Cell 7 Construction. Quest Project Number 8958819
Confidential bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME ON WEDNESDAY, THE 28th DAY OF
FEBRUARY, 2024. All bids shall be submitted electronically through QuestCDN vBid Online
Bidding ONLY -- the online bid portal will be open for vBid by February 23, 2024. No paper bids
will be accepted. All bidders shall bid in accordance with contract document’s Section 2
‘Information to Bidders’. The above Public Work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and
must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contracts on file with the
City Clerk. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City
Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and
all bids.
No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid
or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the
bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the
date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such
contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be
forfeited to the City as liquidated damages.

If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as
on file in the City Clerk’s Office.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
