Executive Summary Bids for C2021-4 Landfill Phase 4 Gas System, C2021-6 Water & Sewer System Improvements II, C2021-7 Street Rehabilitation, C2021-8 Main Street Rehabilitation and C2021-9 Public Lead Service Replacements were opened on March 3, 2021. Contract C2021-5 WWTP Headworks Project was moved to Bid Schedule C at the request of Utility Director Dave Botts. City Recommendation The City recommends awarding contracts C2021-4 Landfill Phase 4 Gas System, C2021-6 Water & Sewer System Improvements II, C2021-7 Street Rehabilitation, C2021-8 Main Street Rehabilitation and C2021-9 Public Lead Service Replacements as well as expressing the intent to borrow funds as outlined in the memo. Background C2021-4 Landfill Phase 4 Gas System – For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for construction of a landfill gas system to include: gas well installation, gas header and laterals, gas well heads, valve and control assemblies, well repairs and abandonment, leachate cleanout modification, site restoration, and incidentals for Landfill Phase 4 Gas System Improvements. There were six (6) qualified plan holders. The contract estimate was $210,300.00. Staff received one (1) bid with Landfill Drilling & Piping, Inc. providing the lowest bid. The Engineering Division 2 is recommending award of this contract to Landfill Drilling & Piping, Inc. of Sun Prairie, WI for a total bid amount of $170,036.50.
