Strategic Goal - Infrastructure These contracts support the City’s efforts to maintain existing infrastructure and continue to
provide municipal services. Executive Summary
Bids for C2018-20 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Lining were opened October 3, 2018. City Recommendation
The City’s recommended course of action is to award contract C2018-20 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Lining to the low bidder and express intent to borrow the necessary funding in the 2019 Note Issue. Suggested Motion I move to award contracts C2018-20 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Lining to the low bidder as described in the memo. Background C2018-20 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Lining – For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for the CIP trenchless lining repair (cured-in-place lining method) and selective point joint grouting of approximately 14,000 L.F. 8”-36” diameter sanitary and storm sewer, manhole-to-manhole; and approximately five 8” diameter CIP point repairs of varying lengths under existing paved streets.
There were five (5) qualified plan holders. The contract estimate was $1,133,593.00. We received two (2) bids with Visu-Sewer Inc. providing the lowest bid. The Engineering Division is
recommending award of this contract to Visu-Sewer Inc. of Pewaukee, WI for a total bid amount of $1,225,812.65.
