Advertisement For Bids Schedule A 29 December 2014 PART #1 CITY OF JANESVILLE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PUBLIC WORKS BID SCHEDULE “A” – 2015 The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive sealed bids for the following listed Public Work: C2015-1 MONTEREY DAM IMPROVEMENTS – For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for making repairs to the Monterey Dam on the Rock River. The work includes installation of coffer dam(s) and dewatering; performing concrete replacement and repairs on the spillways and abutments; filling scour holes and undermined sections of the spillway; and site restoration. (Quest Project #3623675) C2015-2 CURB AND GUTTER/SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT – For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for the construction and completion of approximately 29,000 L.F. curb and gutter replacement; 65,000 S.F. sidewalk/driveways; 200 S.Y. full depth concrete pavement patching; and grass terrace restoration. (Quest Project #3629628) C2015-3 WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS – For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for construction of approximately 335 L.F. of new 10” and 21” sanitary sewer and 300 L.F. of new 6” and 12” water main; and water main replacement and abandonment of approximately 3,000 L.F. existing 1”-6” water main; replacement of associated lead/steel water services; and replacement or rehabilitation of approximately 300 sanitary, water valve, storm manholes, and storm inlets; and associated street and non-paved surface restoration. (Quest Project #3629691) C2015-4 LANDFILL LEACHATE RECIRCULATION - For furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for the construction and installation of dual containment HDPE discharge piping; remove existing leachate manhole for Phase 2; construct new flow monitoring manhole with associated electrical and plumbing in Phase 2; modify existing manhole in Phase 3 to include flow monitoring with associated electrical and plumbing; new electrical wiring and controls; small quantity of clay wedge compaction; minor site grading; and incidentals to be shown on the plan. (Quest Project #3147935) Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME ON WEDNESDAY, THE 28TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2015. All bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk’s Office, City of Janesville City Hall, 18 North Jackson Street, P.O. Box 5005, Janesville, Wisconsin, 53547, and enclosed in a SEALED ENVELOPE, marked with the name and address of the bidder and contract title for which the bid is being submitted. All bidders shall bid in accordance with, and shall bid upon, the bid forms included in the Contract Documents. Bids will be opened in the Council Chambers at 2:01 P.M. on the same date. The above Public Work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contracts on file with the City Clerk. No bid will be read or considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. PROOF OF RESPONSIBILITY forms in accordance with Section 66.0901(2) Wisconsin Statutes must be filed in the Engineering Division Office not later than 12:00 NOON, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2015. The form is contained in the Contract bidding documents and also available at www.ci.janesville.wi.us (under Departments & Services drop-down choose Public Works; then Engineering Division; then click Documents tab on left side and choose Bidder’s Proof of Responsibility). Forms shall show sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to perform the Contract. The City’s decision regarding qualifications shall be final. Said work shall be commenced by, and shall be entirely completed by, the dates set in the proposal for the specific work. The determination of the lowest responsible bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
