APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES th The minutes of the July 18, 2012 were approved on a motion by Rick Berry and seconded by Dave Langowski. This motion passed unanimously. MANAGER’S REPORT Steve Loomis reported that July was a challenging month with very hot weather. Projected budgeted golf rounds were down by 570 but there was a savings in payroll expenses. July net income was down $13,000. Steve commented that the golf courses were in good condition with minimal turf damage. The Committee members recognized the positive work done by the grounds crew during this drought. KemperSports ran a promotional advertisement in the Wisconsin State Journal to increase interest in the Janesville courses. PROPOSAL OF 2013 GOLF COURSE FEES Steve Loomis shared the proposed golf fees for 2013. The courses are currently on pace to come close to breaking even in 2012. KemperSports is looking at a 2-3% increase on fees overall. Modifications were made to twilight hours allowing more days of play (weekday and weekend rates). No change was recommended to cart fees. A small increase was recommended for the punch pass. Other changes included starting a junior full play pass for the first time and a range pass. Rick Berry suggested that the percent change column formula be changed to describe the change in price differently. Ed Stried made a motion to accept the 2013 golf rates and Rick Berry seconded the motion. This motion passed unanimously. MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA Rebecca Smith shared details of the annual golf outing. The Committee is interested in choosing a new date. Rebecca Smith will notify the Committee of a new date once it has been made. Rick Berry asked a few more questions regarding the water utility rates for the golf courses. Rebecca Smith will follow up. The meeting adjourned at 6:45PM on a motion by Mary Conway and seconded by Rick Berry. This motion passed unanimously.
