APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
st
The minutes of the March 21, 2012 were approved on a motion by Clyde Hoeser and
seconded by Rick Berry. This motion passed unanimously.
MANAGER’S REPORT
Steve Loomis reported that Riverside Golf Course opened earlier than usual due to the
nice weather. There’s been a very good start to the year with approximately 32 season
passes sold at Riverside and approximately 25 season passes sold at Blackhawk.
Blackhawk improvement projects include the completion of replacing the carpet in the
clubhouse and the reconstruction of the bridges being underway. The Health Department
inspections went well with the golf courses receiving their highest scores in several years.
Currently a new survey is taking place at the courses.
MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA
Mary Conway requested that the bluebird house at the Riverside Golf Course outside deck
be moved. Joe Schneider will move it to a new location to avoid having birds getting
confused and flying into the glass windows.
Rebecca Smith and Steve Loomis discussed attributes of the Permanent Tee Time
Program based on the memo that was included with the April meeting items. For the
record, Rick Berry shared that users have contacted him with Permanent Tee Time
concerns and that is why he brought this topic up for discussion. Rick also shared
feedback that he received from users with the Committee members. Following a
discussion, a motion was made by Rick Berry and seconded by Clyde Hoeser to expand
the Permanent Tee Time Program through the end of September with no change in fees.
This motion was approved on a vote of two in favor (Clyde Hoeser and Rick Berry) and
one opposed (Mary Conway). Rebecca Smith said that feedback from the Golf Course
Advisory Committee would be shared with City Administration.
The meeting adjourned at 7:05PM on a motion by Clyde Hoeser and seconded by Rick
Berry. This motion passed unanimously.
