The minutes of the August 18, 2010 meeting were approved unanimously on a motion by
Steve Hiser and seconded by Mary Conway.
MANAGER’S REPORT
Tom Tautges is hopeful that the 2010 golf rounds may be made up in October. The Men’s
Golf Association made a $2,000 donation for the purchase of additional trees for Riverside
Golf Course. The Parks Department and Joe Schneider will choose and plant the trees.
There is also a memorial tree that will be planted in remembrance of Mary Potter. Jay
Winzenz suggested using a spade to replant some existing trees as a cost saving
measure. Tom Tautges recognized and complimented Joe Schneider for his expertise with
keeping the grounds so well maintained.
MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA

th
them in the near future. Jay Winzenz will be meeting with Crown Golf on September 30
regarding their equipment. Jay will also contact WPGA about the Ray Fischer Tournament
to reassure them of the City’s desire to keep it at Riverside Golf Course.
Steve Hiser asked about the removal of linden trees. Rebecca Smith shared that she is
getting an updated CIF balance from Crown Golf then the linden trees, septic repair at
Riverside and tee yardage markers at Blackhawk will be priority items for completion.
