Approval of June 4, 2012 meeting minutes Please find attached the minutes of the last meeting for the committee’s review and approval. Presentations regarding role and purpose of the Police & Fire Commission At the March meeting, the group shared interest in hearing a presentation from the Police & Fire Commission staff to better understand the purpose of this commission. Human Resources Director Sue Musick will be present at the meeting to provide a brief presentation. Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Selection of recommended nominees for the following Boards, Commissions and Committees There are vacancies on the Citizen Advisory Committee on Appointments and the Plan Commission. Please find attached a fact sheet for each committee’s vacancy. Also attached are the application forms for the individuals interested in serving. While the Citizens Advisory Committee on Appointments is not officially authorized to make recommendations for nominees to the Plan Commission, the City Manager has asked this committee to provide a recommendation regarding this appointment. Following any committee discussion, staff asks the committee recommend applicants for nomination for these vacancies. Members may make a motion to nominate an applicant; once a second is received, a vote will be taken. A simple majority is needed (3 of 5 votes). Attachments: 6/4/12 minutes Fact sheets Applications
