Page 1 Fact Sheet for Transportation Committee Purpose The purpose of this committee is to study the City's transportation problems, to evaluate alternatives to and solutions for such problems, and to make related recommendations to the City Council. Vacancies (3-year term) 1 vacancy (possible re-appointment – Allen Fugate) Eligibility to Serve To be eligible for an appointment to a committee, individuals must be a resident of the City of Janesville and have interest or knowledge in the committee’s subject matter. Volunteers should also be available to meet at the committee’s usual meeting time. Your comments will be forwarded to the appointment committee with their March meeting agenda materials. Earlier this month we sent letters to those committee members eligible for re-appointment (such as Mr. Fugate) asking them to complete their application if they wish to serve again. Their deadline for applying is in early February. At this time I plan to send a press release announcing all of the vacancies available the second week of February. I have made a note to also email that info to you so that you may share it with anyone you feel would be a good fit for committee service.
