2.0 Building 5Janesville Ice Skating Center has a good envelope with steel truss, C.M.U. block walls and double pane window panels for walls.

brick over C.M.U. block.
$10,750
3.0 Building 5Combination of CMU block, steel, concrete and glass windows. Has 125 ton refrigeration capacity from a direct expansion freon
Interiorsystem with 2 Carrier compressors. HVAC and plumbing systems are in good shape. Dasher boards are 25 years old and in
good shape with 6' high safety glass and protective netting on both ends. The facility has 4 nice locker rooms, bathrooms and
showers. Rink lighting inside of building has been replaced in 2002 with (40) 400watt metal halide fixtures. Sound system for
facility was replaced in 1991 and could use some upgrades. Scoreboard is in good operating order but needs maintenance
yearly. Rubber matting down ramps and to entrance of rink has been replaced and in good shape.
$1,600
4.0 Building 5This facility includes an ice arena with 1 sheet of ice, office, 4 locker rooms, skate rental, pro shop and snack bar spaces. The
Mechanicalfacility was originally constructed in 1978 and renovated in 1985 and 2000. Overall, mechanical systems are in good shape and
they have very little problems with them. The utilities entering the building have not been a problem. In particular, the following
items are noted:
-125 ton Carrier Refrigeration package is direct freon with 21,000 pounds of refrigerant. Expensive!
- Zamboni could use a seasonal overhaul.
-Sound system is 20 years old
-The facilities cooling tower is in good condition.
-Dehumidification is a Munters Dessicant A20 Model.
-Radiant heaters in rink area work but use a large amount of energy to work effectivly.
-Boiler room has 2 hot water haeters, boiler and air handling equipment.
$20,000
5.0 Building 5Facility electrical systems in good condition. New 400W lighting over the rink. Although we would recommend placing the rink
Electricallights on zones so when not needed less lighting can be used and save additional energy costs. New electrical system is not
needed at this time.
$100
6.0 Building 5Dasher boards are made in steel and strut. The dashers have 6' high glass and limited safety netting around ends of rink. The
Equipment, Zamboni operates in good order but it does need a over haul to maintain good operation. Concessions is in good shape and
Furnishings skate shop is small but provides a need in the building. The facility operates a fossil fuel edger for ice maintenance.

with services (water, sewer, gas, associated metering) as they enter the building. skate rental, pro shop and snack bar spaces. The facility was originally
constructed in 1978 and renovated in 1985 and 2000. Overall, mechanical
systems are in good shape and they have very little problems with them.
The utilities entering the building have not been a problem. In particular,
the following items are noted:
-125 ton Carrier Refrigeration package is direct freon with 21,000 pounds of
refrigerant. Expensive!
- Zamboni could use a seasonal overhaul.
-Sound system is 20 years old
-The facilities cooling tower is in good condition.
-Dehumidification is a Munters Dessicant A20 Model.
-Radiant heaters in rink area work but use a large amount of energy to work
effectivly.
-Boiler room has 2 hot water haeters, boiler and air handling equipment.
D2010 Plumbing Fixtures - Terminal devices on the domestic water plumbing system which have water supplied to them. Rough-in piping, trim, fittings, and connection to vent piping.

more ice time but that would reduce the time to the general public. In speaking with user
group they are happy with the facility and the condition of the ice but would like more ice
time to provide more programs. On the day of the site visit the ice conditions were good.
