The minutes of the October 15, 2008 meeting were approved unanimously on a motion by
Steve Hiser and a second by Mary Conway with the note of changing the spelling of the
National Guard Armory in the first paragraph of the minutes.
st
Tom Tautges distributed the monthly report for October plus year to date January 1 to
st
October 31. It was noted that the flood of 2008 had a significant impact on rounds and
revenue at Blackhawk Golf Course. It was also noted that the food and beverage revenue
at Riverside was a significant improvement and contributed to the positive bottom line cash
flow.
Mike William reviewed a series of financial tables which provided ten year performa
information on various options related to a leased contract. The tables were also
provided on the Capital Improvement Fund and the Debt Retirement. Mike Williams also
stated that he has been unable to contact Gary Binder to initiate any dialogue about
Kemper Sports interest in assuming the golf course lease from Crown Golf beginning as
early as 2009.
On matters not on the agenda, Mike distributed a catalog that had wholesale prices for
video camera material. The Committee discussed advantages and disadvantages of
video cameras versus an alarm wire on the golf carts versus installing additional security
lighting around both clubhouses. The Committee tabled any decisions for a future
meeting. Mike Williams stated that the water elevation in both Lions Pond and Kiwanis
Pond was continuing to recede and we should see improvements at Blackhawk Golf
Course by next spring.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM
Respectfully submitted,
