Opening:
The regular meeting of the Alcohol License Advisory Committee (ALAC) was called

to order at 8:03 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, in the City Municipal Building, 4 Floor, by
Committee Chair Schroeder.
Present: Committee Members Bordwell, Engebretson, McDonald, Schroeder, and Schreier.
Administration: Deputy Chief Kopp.
Approval of Minutes
A.
The December 2, 2009 minutes were unanimously approved.
Appearance of A Taste of Rumors, LLC, d/b/a Fusion 5, 307 W. Milwaukee St.
B.
Deputy Chief Kopp stated the owner has relinquished his license therefore, no further action
is required.
Appearance of Jacquline P. Quaerna d/b/a Quaerna’s Tavern
C.
Ms. Jean Wulf, City Clerk-Treasurer stated that the establishment has not been open for
business for approximately 90-days. Committee Chair Schroeder requested that the police
personally serve Ms. Quaerna with a letter requesting her to appear at the next ALAC
meeting, February 3, 2009, or to relinquish the license for non-use.
Application for a Class B Alcohol and Fermented Malt Beverage License by Blazin
D.
Wings Inc., d/b/a Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar, 2929 Milton Avenue, Ste. 101
Ms. Mary Twinem and Attorney Nathan Wautier appeared on behalf of this license
application. Deputy Chief Kopp stated as far as a police standpoint there are no issues.
Ms. Twinem stated that they are requesting outdoor seating which would include music and
television entertainment. Gale Price, Manager of Building and Developing Services stated
that they have met all the building requirements and were issued a building permit back in
November. Committee Member Engebretson moved to recommend approval of said license
without any restrictions as far as outdoor seating or music. Committee Member Bordwell
seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously.
Application for a Class B Alcohol and Fermented Malt Beverage License by Spurs Bar
E.
and Grill, Inc. d/b/a La Tolteca, 3001 N. Lexington Drive
Mr. Richard Linn, 505 E. Cook Street, Portage, WI, appeared on behalf of this license
application. Mr. Linn stated that he currently owns the building and was leasing it out to the
previous license holder. Mr. Linn stated that this business will be operating the same as it
has in the past without any major changes in the operation. Committee Member Schreier
moved to recommend approval of said license. Committee Member McDonald seconded
the motion and it passed unanimously.
Matters not on the Agenda
There were none. Meeting was adjourned at 8:29 a.m. The next general meeting will be at

8:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 3, 2009, in the City Municipal Building, 4 Floor, Council
Chambers.
