Price, AICP, Building & Development Services Managey6lJll SUBJECT: Introduction, refer to Plan Commission and schedule a public hearing on a proposed ordinance rezoning property located 303 Center Avenue from R2 to B3 (File Ordinance No. 2007-366). Daniela Polanco has submitted a request to rezone property located 303 Center Avenue. The property is a 4,244 square foot lot which includes an existing single family home and detached garage. The applicant is requesting rezoning of the property to establish a small hair salon in a portion of the residence which will also allow the continuation of the residential use within the remainder of the structure. In order to accommodate the proposed land use, the applicant has requested that the property be rezoned from R2 to B3. The Community Development Department recommends that following the first reading of Ordinance No. 2007-366, it be referred to the Plan Commission for review and recommendation and then scheduled for public hearing on June 25, 2007. cc: Brad Cantrell/(KJ ORDINANCE NO. 2007-366 An ordinance changing the zoning classification of land located at 303 Center Avenue from R2 to B3 with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville. THE COMMON COUNCil OF THE CITY OF JANESVlllE DO ORDAIN AS FOllOWS: SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed from R2, Limited General Residence District to B3, General Commercial District. Palmer & Sutherland's Addition, West half of Lot 14, Block 13 SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
